Safety Centre

Communicate securely within the marketplace.

Keep your enquiry, advert and conversation together. Your contact details remain private until you choose to share them.

Verifying buyers and sellers

  • Read the full profile: member since, last active, response rate, reviews and active adverts.
  • Ask for company registration, licence or mandate documents through Secure Messaging.
  • Confirm names, licences and company details with the issuing authority yourself.
  • Treat an unverified New Member as unknown, not as dishonest.

Checking whether an advert is current

  • Every For Sale advert shows Last confirmed available; every Wanted advert shows Last confirmed required.
  • Green means confirmed within 7 days, amber 8–14 days, grey confirmation overdue.
  • Adverts not confirmed for 30 days expire and are hidden from normal results.
  • Ask the advertiser to reconfirm before you travel or commit funds.

Advance-fee warnings

  • Independently verify the user, gold, invoice, payment recipient and payment purpose before sending funds.
  • Be cautious with smelting, storage, tax, clearance, licence, customs, travel, deposit or reservation fees requested before inspection.
  • Never pay because someone holds an advert or a verification badge.
  • Use Payment Safety in a conversation to request evidence or report the request.

Safe document sharing

  • Share only the information required. Redact unnecessary personal, banking and identity details.
  • Attachments stay in private storage and are opened through short-lived links.
  • Do not share full banking credentials, account access or unrelated identity pages.

Safe Cash & Carry meetings

  • Meet only at a recognised refinery, bank, bonded warehouse or secure commercial facility. Independently verify the location and attendees.
  • Exact meeting addresses are never published; they are shared privately once an appointment is accepted.
  • Be cautious of last-minute location or attendee changes.
  • Keep appointment terms and outcomes recorded in Secure Messaging.

Reporting suspicious activity

  • You can report an advert, a profile, a message, a review or a Cash & Carry booking.
  • Reports are confidential and reach our safety team with the relevant information preserved.
  • You can also block a member, which stops new messages while keeping your existing evidence.

What verification means

  • Profiles show only two statuses: New Member or Verified Profile.
  • Individual credentials are shown separately: identity checked, business checked, licence submitted, mandate submitted.
  • Verification records what was submitted and reviewed. It is optional and never replaces your own checks.
  • There is no numerical trust score.

What the marketplace does not guarantee

  • The marketplace does not hold user funds.
  • The marketplace does not hold gold.
  • The marketplace does not guarantee users.
  • The marketplace does not guarantee adverts.
  • Verification does not replace due diligence.
  • Users are responsible for legal and product checks.
